MOTR is the new race series for the busy mom always on the run, her friends and family!
Are you a mom who's literally and figuratively always on the run? This is the race series for you! This series will kick-off on Mother's Day with a flat, fast and fun 5k and family fun run in Leesburg, VA! Have your mom, family and friends join you to celebrate Mother's Day! All levels of runners and walkers are welcome. Check back for newly announced race dates in major cities across the U.S. in 2012.
In the meantime, join the inaugural Mom On The Run (MOTR) race on Sunday, May 13 in the Leesburg/Lansdowne area in Loudoun County, Virginia.
This race's proceeds will benefit Girls On The Run of Northern Virginia.

Girls on the Run® is a positive youth development program founded by Molly Barker in 1996. Our organization is committed to providing pre-adolescent girls with the necessary tools to embrace their individual strengths as they enter middle and high school. Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia (GOTR NOVA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 180 councils across the United States and Canada.
Girls on the Run is guided by a vision for our organization, a mission for achieving the vision, and a set of core values that guide us in everything we do at Girls on the Run®.

Below are details for the Inaugural MOTR 5k Race and Family Fun Run. Check back soon for newly announced races in major U.S. cities!
Race Date: Sunday, May 13
Time: 8:00 am start
Location: Village at Leesburg
1602 Village Market Blvd. SE Leesburg, VA
Course: Flat and fast 5k and a 1/2-mile fun run in and around the Village at Leesburg in the fastest growing county in America.
Goodies: Each registered participant will receive a sponsor goody bag and a technical t-shirt.
Packet Pickup: Bibs and goody bags can be picked up the day prior to the race at the Health & Fitness expo. Location TBD.
Health & Fitness Expo: Join event sponsors and shop as you pick up your race packet and goody bag. Check back for location and times.
Post-Race Celebration & Awards: Join runners, walkers, family, friends and sponsors at the post-race celebration. Food, fun and entertainment for all ages!!
Awards: This race will be timed and results will be posted online at the site. Cash awards will be given to the top overall (1) male and (1) female finishers. There will also be awards to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 & over.
